Throughout the past four weeks, we have explored sustainable food production and a changing environment, with a particular focus on the range of biological, chemical, and physical threats to soil, water, plant, and animal health and welfare. We also discussed some of the control systems, analytical measures, and surveillance methods which exist to ensure the integrity of our food supply chain. As this is such a wide and varied topic, it is impossible to cover all the issues relating to the subject. But we hoped you gained some valuable insight into the challenges which exist in the food production system and the tremendous efforts being done to help ensure the safety of our food.
