New, adjusted post for repairing the south-east corner post.

Now most of the roof weight could be carried by the new post. This improved the stability but it was not perfect. A compromise had been reached; the painted decoration was preserved in the church at the expense of the church’s original construction system.

A picture of a replaced post seen from outside a Stave Church. The new post is now panelled and hidden from view, as it was before the repair work started.
