We’ve learnt a lot of new vocabulary since the first course day, including several adverbs (e.g. først, så, etterpå), conjunctions (e.g. og, eller, men) and subordinate conjunctions (e.g. fordi, hvis, selv om). This part of speech is used to tie clauses together into meaningful paragraphs. Compare the following texts:
